The Spaghetti House in Goodge Street is over two floors with both levels offering a different ambiance and dining experience with the option of eating alfresco in the small tabled area at the front of the restaurant or those who like to eat outside. Although the restaurant is over two floors, it can get rather busy during peak times, especially at lunch and dinner, so would recommend booking a table before your visit if possible. The staff are more than accommodating here so rest assured that they will welcome diners with a warm Italian welcome whenever you may visit.

With a warm, friendly greeting from Front Of House to being show to our seats, I was pleasantly settled and ready for aperitifs. The Spaghetti House in Goodge Street, Fitzrovia had an immediate light and airing feel to the decor on both floors

After perusing the menu, I decided to choose the Bruschetta Avocado with some olives and donuts for my starters. The Bruschetta Avocado was served with crushed avocado, egg, sun-dried tomato, sunflower seeds & lemon dressing. A deliciously beautiful dish presented beautifully cleverly using ingredients featuring colours of the Italian flag. If you only try one thing off the menu, in my opinion; this would be it. A perfectly balanced healthy treat, packed full of Italian charm showcasing healthy ingredients in a sophisticated fashion. I thought at the time that this dish would make a perfect lunchtime snack, providing a refreshingly healthy alternative to heavy mains during the summer months. Needless to say, I also ordered the Bruschetta Avocado with some super ripe mixed green and black marinated olives, including Gaeta, Leccino, Cerignola & Nocellara Olives and a portion of Crescentine (Dough ball fritters made freshly on site, served with fresh grated Parmesan and Arrabbiata dip. Who would have thought savory donuts would make such a great starter? I’m converted; they do!

With the Prosecco still flowing freely, it was time to order some mains! Both the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Linguine Gamberi e Zucchini were equally stunning. Simple food cooked to perfection. The Spaghetti Carbonara was served with smoked pancetta, cream, egg, and Parmesan. The Linguine Gamberi e Zucchini was served with king prawns, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, white wine garlic, lemon zest and fresh chilli. A beautifully balanced dish, delicately prepared with the lemon zest and fresh chilli complementing the king prawns perfectly.
