Who’s excited about the gin festival starting at Wetherspoon’s tomorrow? I am! With 936 of the pub’s chain taking part, we thought we’d start trying ones that were already in stock! Let us know if you’d tried any of the gins featured, we’d love to hear what you thought them…
Having seen Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin behind the bar at the The Golden Lion in Rochester, Kent, I decided to give it a spin!
Distilled in Royal Tunbridge Wells, the bottle is probably the nicest of the bunch. Wrapped in brown kraft paper, the bottle pays homage to the days of old… when gin was made in the bathtub!
Although it is recommended to be served with orange garnish, I went for cucumber in mine as I prefer the savoury end of the garnish options. Wow! Deliciously smooth and refreshing. Tried it? Let us know what you think…
